Quit your job. Join my emo band.
The year is 2006.
Playoff Season was formed as a little side project for Scott. Emo pop isn't his main thing - he's much more into post hardcore - but he wanted to try it out. With the recent advent of the internet, however, Playoff Season has gotten big. Now they're selling records, touring outside of their home state, and signing to the emo label Decaydance Records.
Scott never wanted this... but the attention isn't so bad. He's impulsive, never serious, and can be kind of a jerk. The fans love him all the same (even if he doesn't really love them back).

Scott has a few signature shirts, seen below. Add bracelets if you see fit. Take inspo from early 2000s Adam Lazzara of Taking Back Sunday.
Scott's face claim is Brandon Boyd from Incubus. His build is similar to Brandon's as well.
EXTRA INFO
Note: This is not necessary to read if I'm commissioning you, but if you want to know more about Scott...
Scott was born in Texas but grew up in Florida. He grew up playing baseball and being a Texas Rangers fan. He's also always loved nerd shit: Star Trek, Lord of the Rings, etc. He started Playoff Season with his cousin and childhood best friend Jamie Craig, the guitarist.
Scott and Jamie got into hardcore together via a festival where they saw I Have Dreams and Combat Wounded Veteran. Scott is a total hardcore elitist nowadays (nowadays being 2006...) and thinks most current emo bands (Panic!, post-debut Fall Out Boy/My Chem) are lame as fuck.
Scott is cocky, annoying, and egotistical. He's outgoing and relatively easy to get along with but he's a bit of an asshole, and if he doesn't like you, you'll be able to tell. He's more in line with a jock-type character than the aloof emo stereotype.
Scott Graves variants:
Han Solo, Ferris Bueller, Jeff Winger, Lightning McQueen, Sonic,
Katsuki Bakugou, Jack Twist, William Beckett, Thurston Moore
Yes, I ship Scott with Ryan Ross from Panic! at the Disco. Sorry about that.
Descriptions of Scott from fanfic excerpts
For being the lead of an unoriginal emo pop band, Scott Graves is a pretentious douchebag. He’s pretentious about emo music in a way Ryan didn’t even know people could be. He’s always talking about “real emo” and “emotional hardcore” and “posers.” That last one is his favorite thing to call Ryan. [...] the critics have tacked that label [emo] onto Panic! because of the emotional lyrics and their record label. For some reason, this has personally offended Scott. He’s always in someone’s ear, his bandmate’s, a roadie’s, sometimes even a journalist’s, complaining about Panic! and Fever and Ryan himself.
I knew Scott Graves from the scene. Everybody knew Scott Graves. He’d been in a lot of bands over the years, more than I could keep track of, and he was one of those people who seemed permanent. He was there before I was and I was always sure he would be there long after I was gone.
When Scott and his cousin Jamie Craig approached me in 2004 and asked me to play with them, [...] I was going to say no, but Scott insisted (and insisted and insisted) that I listen to what they had, which wasn’t much. [...]
Scott Graves was that one guy in the scene, the real hardcore, break-your-nose-in-the-pit-and-buy-you-a-beer-afterwards guy. I hadn’t talked to him much before that, but the times I had, he was always complaining about posers and “pop shit” and bands he thought had sold out. So when I got home and played this demo, I was surprised. It sounded like everything Scott hated. Where his previous bands were 7 Angels 7 Plagues and I Have Dreams, this was All-American Rejects.
It still had a lot of elements of post-hardcore because Scott was Scott and he couldn’t depart from his roots like that, but it was way poppier than anything else I’d heard from him before. It drew me in—I couldn’t not say yes.
The girl with the pink hair, our first fan, was Evelyn Linbecker, Evie as she insisted everyone call her, and she started coming to every show. I don’t know if she was showing up on her own or if Scott was inviting her, but she and Scott were together most nights she was there. She started coming to after-show hangouts, late nights at Taco Bell, even rehearsals. Jamie and I both saw it coming before it happened. Scott told us one day that he didn’t want to do bass anymore, just vocals, and he knew the perfect bassist to fill in. From then on, Evie was an official part of Playoff Season.
[...] he really doesn’t hate his fans.
Okay, maybe sometimes he hates his fans.
Scott Graves is a hardcore guy. Grew up in the hardcore scene, been in multiple hardcore and hxc-adjacent bands, has broken more than a couple bones in pits, so on and so forth. He likes more than just hardcore–hell, he likes more genres than he can even name–but hardcore has always been his main thing. It just so happens that when playing around with a new sound with a band he didn’t expect to go anywhere or even want to go anywhere, the band got big. He likes emo pop, sure, but he didn’t want to be The Emo Pop Guy. He didn’t want to be The Academy Is… or Panic! at the Disco (fuck Panic! at the Disco), he just wanted to have fun. But somehow, he amassed the most loser-poser fanbase ever.
He’s appreciative of the attention–God knows he loves attention–but he wants his crowd to be throwing punches and slipping on beer someone spilled in the pit, not crying and thinking about what they’re gonna write in their LiveJournal later.
